Fleece

Fleece (ang. fleece) is a soft filling material or a hairy knit made of synthetic fibers, which is heavily brushed on both sides. This pleasant material insulates heat excellently. It is also characterized by its quick drying. A great advantage of fleece is its minimal maintenance and care. The material is most often used for hoodies, jackets (so-called fleece jackets), hats, or as a liner in jackets and coats. Besides clothing, the material is also suitable for home renovation in the form of warm blankets, linings, or pillows. Fleece, like other brushed knits made of synthetic fibers, was created as a cheaper substitute for fabrics made of natural fibers, from which garments with high thermal insulation properties were made. To avoid significant pilling and low quality when choosing this material, it is enough to focus on the term fleece antipilling, which is treated against pilling. Fleece has gained a permanent position of popularity on the market for its insulating and thermal properties, low price, long colorfastness, high strength, low weight, and easy maintenance. This material is most sought after by lovers of hiking, mountaineering, and other outdoor activities. However, it also finds use for everyday wear, especially on damp and cold days.
