Gurkha Kurkri Plus knife with fixed blade from Cold Steel, with blade made from 4034SS steel. Kukri knives are the weapons of Nepalese Gurkha warriors. They are modified original agricultural tools that became effective cutting weapons throughout history. Kukri knives are easily recognised by their distinctive blade shape, where the centre of gravity is concentrated mainly in the front part of the blade. The shape and construction of the weapon with a curved blade work as a cutting weapon, but thanks to the brilliantly sharpened blade, you can also perform cutting or thrusting techniques. The overall weight of the knife when striking with the rear part of the blade allows the Kukri knife to serve as an offensive hammer or baton, simply for delivering blunt blows in self-defence. It is clear that a sufficiently strong blunt blow with this knife will break bones or even kill if it strikes the head. Blades are made from Japanese steel designated 4034 Stainless Steel. This stainless steel is comparable in its properties to AUS 8A or 440C steel. The Kukri handle in Kraton (Long Kray-Ex™) maximises the potential of the knife. The handle is perfectly shaped and offers a non-slip surface. It fits perfectly in the hand and dampens impacts during strong blows. The Secure-Ex sheath, which protects both you and the blade, is of course included. The importer provides a 5-year extended warranty on this knife.
