Fenix E08R UE is a powerful flat rechargeable flashlight that pushes the boundaries of pocket EDC models. It offers a unique combination of features including strobe, red light, green laser pointer and innovative controls. Despite its compact flat design, which fits perfectly in a pocket, it delivers a high luminous flux of up to 1600 lumens (ANSI) and a range of up to 160 meters. The flashlight is equipped with a pair of top-tier diodes (Luminus SST20 and SFT25) that allow switching between a focused long-range (spotlight) and a wide (floodlight) beam of white light. Power is provided by a built-in high-capacity Li-Pol battery of 1650 mAh, which ensures runtime up to 111 hours in the Moonlight power-saving mode. Charging is handled via a modern USB-C connector directly on the flashlight body.

Fenix E08R UE features five modes of white spotlight, five modes of white floodlight, red light with two power levels, a green laser (pointer) and several scene modes for signaling or entertainment - available are side white light, RGB backlight, red-blue flashing and unique modes of a digital dice and digital hourglass. The flashlight is supplied with a sturdy two-position clip, so you can attach it deep in a pocket or to a backpack strap. A battery charge indicator in the button is also practical. The flashlight is ideal for EDC (everyday carry) and thanks to its flat shape you can keep it with you without it getting in the way.

All flashlight parameters (luminous flux, battery runtime, waterproofing, impact resistance and range) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Usage

To turn the white light on or off hold the main button for approximately 0.5 seconds. The five basic power modes can then be cycled through by briefly pressing the same button. Switch between the spotlight and floodlight by pressing the central oval button.

Tactical tail switch (Turbo and Strobe) - With the flashlight off or in strobe mode, press the tail switch to immediately activate Turbo. If you release the button within 3 seconds, the light will turn off. If you hold it for longer than 3 seconds, the flashlight will lock in Turbo mode. To activate the strobe when the flashlight is off (or from Turbo/white light) press the tactical switch twice quickly in succession. Pressing again will turn the flashlight off or return to the previous mode.

Red light is turned on and off by holding the red side button for about 0.5 seconds. A short press of this button switches between high and low power. You can also switch to the red light directly from the white light or laser by holding the red switch for 0.5 seconds.

Green laser is turned on and off by holding the green side button on the flashlight for about 0.5 seconds. When the white light is on, the green laser can be activated simultaneously (added to the white light) by holding the green switch for 0.5 seconds.

Scene modes (Scene mode) - Double-press the main button quickly when the flashlight is off to activate the side backlight. Subsequent short presses of the button cycle through the functions – white side light → RGB steady on → red-blue flashing → RGB smooth pulsing → digital dice → digital hourglass. The scene mode is turned off again by holding the main button for 0.5 seconds.
*In RGB steady mode you can hold the oval button to select your favorite color.
**In digital dice mode shake the flashlight twice for a random illumination of 1 to 6 side points.

Memory for the last selected mode - When turning on the white light the flashlight will always switch to the last chosen power mode. This function does not apply to the highest High modes (in both spotlight and floodlight); in that case it will turn on one level lower.

The control buttons can be locked to prevent accidental activation, e.g. during transport in luggage - with the flashlight off hold both the red and green side buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds. The flashlight will then flash twice to signal locking. To unlock hold the buttons again for 2 seconds and the flashlight will turn on in the lowest Moonlight mode.

Battery charge indicator - with the flashlight off briefly press the main button once, then the indicator LED will light for three seconds. Green means the battery is charged 100–85%, green flashing 85–50%, red means the battery is charged 50–25% and red flashing indicates a critically low battery (less than 25%).

Overheat protection - if the flashlight temperature exceeds 60 °C, the output will be automatically reduced. Once the temperature drops below 60 °C, the flashlight will gradually return to the original output.

Low battery warning - the flashlight will automatically step down to the lowest power mode and the indicator LED will start flashing red to indicate the need to recharge.

Charging

• Turn off the flashlight and connect it via the USB-C cable to a computer, a USB wall adapter or a car USB adapter. Any mobile phone charger with a USB-C connector can also be used for charging.
• During charging the indicator LED lights red, after full charge it lights green. Disconnect the cable after charging is complete.
• Charging voltage: 5 V, max. charging power 5 W (5 V / 1 A). Typical charging time from fully discharged state is approx. 2.5 hours.
• The flashlight can be used in a limited way during charging. If the battery voltage is below 3.3 V, only the Moonlight mode can be turned on. If the voltage is above 3.3 V, modes from Moonlight to Med can be used. Red light, green laser, strobe and Turbo are not available during charging.
• The used battery does not suffer from memory effect, so the flashlight can be recharged at any time.

Warning

• Do not disassemble sealed parts yourself, this will void the warranty.
• Never shine the green laser directly into the eyes of people or animals! The flashlight should not be used by children.
• If the flashlight does not switch to higher power modes, or does not light up, the battery is discharged - charge the flashlight.
