The latest generation of high-performance pocket torch Fenix PD35 V3.0 delivers a light output of up to 1700 lumens (ANSI) and a beam distance of up to 357 metres. Such excellent light output has been achieved by using the latest LED Luminus SFT-40. The torch is powered by a Li-ion 18650 2600 mAh rechargeable battery (included in the package) with its own micro-USB charging connector. The Fenix PD35 V3.0 features six lighting modes, which allow you to choose between high output and long runtime, which reaches up to 230 hours. One of the lighting modes is also a strobe, which is suitable for emergency situations. The torch is powered by digitally regulated constant current to ensure consistent light output even as battery voltage decreases (during gradual discharge). It is also equipped with battery charge status indication.

PD35 V3.0 impresses not only with its compact size and high output, but also with its tactical switch and the ability to attach the Fenix AER-02 cable switch. We can therefore recommend it not only to all outdoor enthusiasts, but especially to members of security services and hunters.

Use

From the factory, there may be a black insulating cover inside the torch on the rechargeable battery. Before first use, remove it from the rechargeable battery.

To switch on, press the switch located at the end of the torch; for immediate activation, gently hold the button. By pressing the side button at the head of the torch, you can at any time during operation cycle between five constant lighting modes. To switch to strobe mode, hold the side button for approximately 0.5 seconds.

Intelligent overheat protection - if the torch temperature rises above 60 °C, it will automatically begin to reduce output in gradual steps until its temperature stabilises. As soon as the torch temperature drops below 60 °C, the output will automatically increase back to the original level.

Battery charge status indication - each time the torch is switched on, the indicator LED in the side button activates for three seconds. If the indicator diode glows green, the battery is charged to more than 85%. Green flashing means 50–85% capacity. If it glows red, it is charged to 25–50%. Red flashing indicates that less than 25% battery capacity remains (only works when using 18650 Li-ion rechargeable battery).

Low battery warning - the torch will gradually automatically switch to the lowest mode; in the lowest mode, the indicator LED in the button will then flash red three times every 10 minutes. This indicates the need to charge the battery or replace it with a fully charged one.

Charging - connect the USB cable to the micro-USB connector on the side of the rechargeable battery; during charging, the indicator light on the top of the rechargeable battery glows red. Once fully charged, it glows green or blue. The charging time for a fully discharged rechargeable battery is 3–3.5 hours.

Warning

• Do not disassemble sealed parts in the torch head yourself, as this will void the warranty.
• Use only quality 18650 Li-ion rechargeable batteries or 3 V CR123A batteries to avoid damaging the torch.
• If the protective rubber O-rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The O-rings should also be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. By following these rules, the torch will be properly protected against water.
• If the torch flashes, does not switch to higher power modes or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
  • Batteries are almost discharged - charge the rechargeable battery or replace it.
  • Contacts inside the torch are dirty - clean them with a cloth dampened in alcohol.
  • The head, body or rear of the torch are loose - apply lubricant to the sealing O-rings and tighten the head and end of the torch firmly.
