Fenix TK21R Flashlight Operation

There may be an insulating cover on the battery inside the flashlight from the factory. Before first use, remove it from the battery.

To turn on, press the larger tactical button located at the end of the flashlight; for momentary activation gently hold the button. By pressing the side mode button you can switch between output modes at any time during operation. To switch to the flashing mode while the flashlight is on, hold the mode button for about 0.5 seconds. To turn on the flashlight directly into strobe mode press and hold the mode button. The BURST mode (3600 lumens) can also be directly activated at any time by holding the main tactical button for 0.5 seconds.

Memory of the last used mode - The flashlight has memory and will always turn on in the last set mode, except for the strobe.

Battery replacement - Unscrew the tail cap of the flashlight and insert the battery with the positive pole facing inward. Then fully tighten the tail cap again.

Charging - Loosen the protective nut under the head of the flashlight to reveal the charging port and plug the USB-C charging cable into the flashlight's charging connector. After charging is complete, tighten the nut again. Using a high-power USB source 9 V/3 A will charge a fully depleted battery in 1.5 hours; using a USB source 5 V/3 A will charge it in 2.5 hours. The flashlight cannot be used during charging. During charging the indicator lights red. When fully charged it lights green. In case of charging failure or reversed battery insertion the indicator flashes red, or does not light at all.

Intelligent overheating protection - since the flashlight reaches the huge output of 3600 lumens, its temperature increases. If the temperature exceeds 55°C, the output will be automatically reduced. Once the temperature drops below 55°C, the output will automatically increase again.

Battery charge indicator - After each turn on of the flashlight (except strobe), the battery charge indication lights up for 3 seconds near the charging connector. If the indicator LED is green, the battery is charged to more than 85%. Green blinking means 50-85% capacity. If it is red, it is charged to 25-50%. Red blinking indicates less than 25% battery capacity remaining.

Low battery warning - the flashlight will gradually automatically switch to the lowest output mode, or if it is already at the lowest output, it will blink 3 times every five minutes.

Warning

• Use only quality rechargeable 21700 batteries with protection circuitry.
• Do not shine on flammable objects from close proximity to avoid damaging them or causing a fire due to high temperature!
• Remove the battery or loosen the tail cap to prevent accidental activation during storage or transport in enclosed spaces.
• Keep this flashlight out of reach of children and do not shine it directly into anyone's eyes!
• Insert batteries with the positive pole towards the head of the flashlight.
• If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings also need to be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. By following these rules the flashlight will be properly protected against water.
• If the flashlight blinks, does not switch to higher output modes, or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
  • The battery is discharged - charge or replace it.
  • The contacts inside the flashlight are dirty – clean them with a cotton swab moistened with alcohol.
  • The head, body or tail of the flashlight are loose, tighten them.
