When you work with your dog in the field or in demanding training, you have no time to deal with a fastening that comes loose or a ring you only hit with the carabiner on the third attempt. The K9 Thorn Cobra Mini 25 mm collar, made of polyamide webbing, is designed for exactly this kind of deployment – special tasks. It is held closed by a Cobra buckle from the renowned Austrian manufacturer Austrialpin, the kind you will also find in high-alpine climbing and extreme sports.

Hardware you can rely on

The buckle withstands 18 kN in a loop and 9 kN at break. The manufacturer used 7075 aluminium for its body, while the pins and clamping bar are made of stainless steel and the clamps of brass. You fine-tune the neck circumference with an Austrialpin adjuster made of aircraft-grade aluminium with a strength of 15 kN. The lead attaches to a 40 mm wide D-ring – you can clip in a quickdraw with a Kong Frog carabiner without fumbling.

Webbing that weather and time can't harm

Polyamide resists the effects of weather and its colour does not change. In everyday wear the surface does not abrade and the edges neither fray nor come apart, so even after a long time there will be no threads sticking out of the collar. Polyamide outlasts polyester, polypropylene or cotton webbing and ranks among the strongest. Because this webbing is stiff and thick, its ends are heat-sealed – the most suitable finish for such a material.
