The MIL-TEC Survival bivy bag weighs 250 grams and is aluminium-coated on the inside, so it reflects body heat back towards you. Packed into the supplied bag it disappears into your rucksack.
Aluminium-coated inner layer
The inside of the bag is aluminium-coated and reflects radiant body heat. The difference from an ordinary cover: the bag doesn't just block wind – it actively reduces heat loss through radiation.
Rip-stop construction
The fabric is 95% polyester with 5% aluminium in a rip-stop weave – if it gets punctured, the tear doesn't spread. The surface is also water repellent, so rain and ground moisture stay out.
