Winter version of the Gemini 150 Extreme model with snow collars for particularly demanding weather conditions features a robust construction made from 7075 T9 aluminium alloy.
Ultralight Nylon Ripstop fabric on the flysheet with UV protection saves weight. The flysheet is made from nylon with RipStop treatment and triple-sided silicone coating, which guarantees a water column of 4,000 mm. The flysheet seams are taped.
The lining is made from nylon with polyurethane treatment with a water column of 10,000 mm. The poles consist of aluminium segments (7075 T6) with a diameter of 9.5 mm.
Description
The tent is double-walled and consists of an inner tent and an outer shell – the flysheet. The inner tent has a rectangular floor plan with two entrances on its longer sides. The outer tent has a hexagonal shape, also has two entrances with two vestibules, which are suitable for example for storing luggage, and is equipped with a snow collar on the lower edge. You can choose whether you want to open the left or right half of the entrance or both at the same time. You can use this choice for example when cooking and easily create the necessary wind break.
Tent construction
Hang the inner tent using hooks onto the aluminium structure. Pull the flysheet over the structure and then secure it with hook-and-loop fasteners on the underside of the flysheet to the poles. Fasten the buckles and then tension the tent. Anchor the tent using pegs and guy lines.
Ventilation
Located in the upper part of the flysheet dome. The ventilation windows are shaped so that the wind does not tilt them. This prevents air escape even in rain with strong wind.
