A modified version of the Gemini 150 for particularly demanding weather conditions features a robust pole construction made from 7075 T9 Dural alloy and ultralight Nylon Ripstop fabric on a tropical flysheet with UV protection that reduces weight. The tropical flysheet is made from nylon with RipStop treatment and triple-sided silicone coating, which guarantees a hydrostatic head of 4,000 mm. The seams of the tropical flysheet are 100% taped. The lining is made from nylon with polyurethane treatment with a hydrostatic head of 10,000 mm. The poles consist of dural segments (7075 T6) with a diameter of 9.5 mm.
Description
The tent is double-walled and consists of an inner tent and an outer flysheet - tropical. The inner tent has a rectangular floor plan with two entrances on its longer sides. The outer tent is hexagonal, also has two entrances with two vestibules, suitable for storing luggage. With the tropical flysheet, we can choose whether to open the left or right half of the entrance, or both at once. We can use this choice, for example when cooking and easily create the necessary air space.
Ventilation
Located at the top of the tropical dome. The ventilation windows are shaped so that they do not tilt due to wind. This prevents air escape even in strong wind and rain.
Tent construction
Hang the inner tent using hooks onto the dural structure. Pull the flysheet over the structure and then secure it with hook-and-loop fasteners on the underside of the flysheet to the poles. Fasten the buckles and then pitch the tent. Anchor the tent using pegs and cords.
