A jacket for unsettled weather has to resist rain and wind without being a winter piece. Vintage Industries Beeston solves this with a dense cotton and nylon blend with a water-repellent finish and light polyester padding. Rib-knit cuffs keep draughts out and the nylon lining slides easily over what you wear underneath.

Insulation

The padding holds warmth even at low temperatures, yet does not restrict movement and leaves room for a sweatshirt underneath. Standing still in the cold it warms just as reliably as when walking, so you do not have to take the jacket off every time the pace changes.

Protection from wind and damp

The surface finish makes water bead on the fabric and run off instead of soaking in. The dense weave also keeps the wind out, so gusty weather does not cut through the sleeves and collar.
