A jacket based on the US military pattern has its pockets exactly where they are needed. Vintage Industries Caldwell pairs that with a 5,000 mm membrane and 3,000 g/m² breathability. The two-way front zip makes movement easier when seated and the mesh lining lets the jacket breathe.
Waterproofing and breathability
The water column handles the rain that catches you on the way from the car as well as on a full-day hike, and the breathability moves moisture outwards so you do not overheat under the layer. It is the combination you appreciate in transitional weather, when drizzle and sunshine alternate through the day.
Based on the original US pattern
The cut and the pocket layout come from the original military model that proved itself in the field. Vintage Industries kept the proportions of the original and adjusted only as much as was needed to wear it every day in the city.
