Specification
A three-layer fabric is what separates an ordinary jacket from a genuinely functional one. Vintage Industries Levin combines it with taped seams, so water does not get through the stitching. A 5,000 mm membrane and 3,000 g/m² breathability cover longer rain, and YKK® zips are among the parts of a jacket that last longest.
Waterproofing and breathability
The water column handles the rain that catches you on the way from the car as well as on a full-day hike, and the breathability moves moisture outwards so you do not overheat under the layer. It is the combination you appreciate in transitional weather, when drizzle and sunshine alternate through the day.
Protection from wind and damp
The surface finish makes water bead on the fabric and run off instead of soaking in. The dense weave also keeps the wind out, so gusty weather does not cut through the sleeves and collar.
